Dan is a huge fan of red velvet cupcakes. So for his birthday in May I decided to surprise him with red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Because I don't care for cream cheese frosting, and I couldn't imagine Dan eating all two dozen before they went bad, I made half with my mom's famous butter cream. Good stuff.
I've gotta say, I think these cupcakes were one of his favorite birthday gifts. :)
