New Shiny Stuff

We received some excellent Calphalon cookware for a wedding shower gift. And we finally are starting to use them in our everyday cooking, now that we've returned from our wedding/honeymoon in Vegas.

We christened in a stock pot a week or so before we left, but we had a pan that we used for the first time just this past week.

What did we make? Well, our favorite recipe, Stovetop Sausage Mac and Cheese, which seems a very appropriate way for us to start our culinary future together.

Performance-wise, it cooked the sausage much quicker than our non-stick pan did. It also kept the temperature much better, too. And it's shallower but wider, which lends to better lighting for photographs.
