Our First Garden, Update 1

Well, last week we both had some time off, so Melissa used part of her time to plant our vegetable seeds in some containers. Right now we have them inside collecting sunlight from southern exposure.

We have tomatoes, hot peppers and more planted, with plans for more (see this post) as spring and summer progress. There will be more garden updates from us. We'll let you know if our ambitious garden plans pan out.

Oh how I wish I had enough sun in my yard for a nice garden. I do have one at school with my students but we cannot plant until May 1st here. Can't wait to see how your's comes out.

Yay! Good for you! I'm in the same boat as RobinSue - not really a good yard for gardening, which hasn't stopped me...but last fall I broke down and joined a CSA. I am planning to get a couple of raised beds built, if I don't keep procrastinating, that is. Plop them right in the middle of the back yard where they should have no reason not to get enough sun!

Nice work guys, anxious to hear how it turns out. Let me know if you have any questions and I can always run it by the experts here.
