Well, with our puppy getting acclimated to our home, we've had a bit more time to try a few more things in the kitchen instead of sticking to our standard -- and easy -- fare.
And looking in our fridge, we see nothing but a shelf of zucchini staring back at us (figuratively, not literally). So Melissa found a recipe from Sunset for Italian Sausage and Zucchini Pasta. In addition, the recipe calls for tomatoes, so we were more than happy to use an heirloom Brandywine that was grown in our garden.
The pasta was really good; the Brandywines added a great juicy flavor that really complemented the Italian sausage and nutty Parmesan.
