Every now and then you just need a good burger. And we were feeling that need recently. We wanted to try something we hadn't and our Cooking Light came in the mail at an opportune time.
The Southwest Salsa Burgers looked delicious, and it looked like an easy meal to prepare in the middle of the week, when our puppy hasn't been looked after enough. This Cooking Light recipe is from the August 2010 issue.
Unfortunately, we found the burger to be pretty, well, plain. It needed an extra kick. The salsa and cheese were nice, but the burger just seemed to lack something. A bit of spice would have been nice. This is a nice template burger, but we'd be remiss in suggesting it as is.
