Hamburger Stroganoff

I'll be honest: I don't like mushrooms. I eat them on occasion -- they have to be an integral part, but not the star, of a meal -- but I don't like them.

But Melissa and I had been craving a beef stroganoff dinner, so we decided to make one. We chose a simple recipe from Cooking Light to walk us through, Hamburger Stroganoff.


Like a lot of the recipes that come from other sources that we choose to make, this one was simple, an easy weeknight meal. The flavors blended well and, even though it has mushrooms, we'll make a stroganoff again.

Next time, though, it will probably be with a different cut of beef. The hamburger was OK, but it just didn't seem as traditional as it would have with chuck roast or tenderloin.
