Salted Chocolate Pecan Toffee

I was never much of a fan of toffee growing up, but during the holidays I was looking for recipes for items that I could make and then give away as gift. While I'm naturally drawn to mint and chocolate combinations, I knew not everyone felt the same love for the combination so I wanted to find something different. That's when I found Salted Chocolate Pecan Toffee.

The recipe was easy enough if you don't fear molten sugar too much and it gave me a chance to try out my new candy thermometer. And the end results were better than anything I could have imagined, with me wishing I had made an even larger batch so I could stash a little more for myself. This will now be a regular when it comes to my christmas baking.
